Improve wellbeing and regain balance in your life

Picture
Hello again...Here is a picture of me amongst the Spring apple blossom in May 2022 on my smallholding.
I started my full-time practice Meadowsweet Holistic Health, in 2002. After qualifying as a Medical Herbalist, I wanted to name my practice after meadowsweet, the beautiful wild flower and herb shown on Home page. It was also the favourite flower of my Grandmother, who also used the plant medicinally on her farm in rural Herefordshire. I was born in Hereford on the Welsh borders and spent much of my childhood and beyond, staying in Pembrokeshire, where I loved finding wildflowers. I so enjoyed walking the whole of the Pembrokeshire coast path recently.

Meadowsweet is now one of many native herbs and wildflowers grown on the smallholding in rural Norfolk, where you can see my real love of nature, animals and wildlife and I  enjoy showing the many herbs growing, which may be used in treatments. See paula_and_herbs1.pdf

A range of courses and workshops are available, held in the separate comfortable annexe/clinic. This includes the kitchen pharmacy, consulting room, w
here the walls are adorned by pictures of wild flowers and herbs, and calming lavender therapy room.

I have
worked in private, public and charitable sectors, in various  roles, working with young people and adults. I  was initially Teacher trained and still is a Lecturer sometimes at a local college. I later qualified at post-graduate level  as a Careers Adviser and also now use Coaching and Therapies in my Private practice.  I have specialised in  helping  individuals with physical and learning disabilities as well as mental health conditions, PTSD and  Aspergers Syndrome, so many Neuro divergent individuals, to maximise skills and achieve goals. This has included increasing confidence in finding and maintaining employment. My experience has fuelled my passion, which is to enhance self-efficacy, to motivate individuals to believe and feel confident in their capability to attain what they want in life.So to understand themselves and what they value, so as to find their true meaning in life.

I offer a unique combination of various `talking` therapies, including Hypnotherapy, use of NLP and CBT, Mindfulness, Stress and anxiety management techniques, Psycho-therapeutic interventions, Visual imagery, EMDR, Positive Psychology, Rickter scale process and much more, including
motivational techniques, Coaching and Careers Guidance. Also I use `hands on` relaxing therapies, such as Reflexology, Indian Head massage, Herbal ear candling...as touch can also have a profound effect, by helping to re-balance, so relaxing both mind and body, to help reduce stress and therefore disease.  This with the addition of her Naturopathic Herbal medicine knowledge and use of Iridology, makes quite a combination of strategies to help individuals with a wide range of concerns. I create special herbal formulas from the kitchen pharmacy, to help enhance nutrition and treat a range of physical and mental health conditions.

I am very passionate in treating the whole person. This is done by helping treat causes not just symptoms and enabling individuals to feel more fulfilled and to make choices. I help individuals to set and achieve  goals in relation to career, home, family, friends, finance and other activities.
This may help to empower you to move from survivor to thriver,  and gain strategies to make lifestyle changes as well as to maintain a natural balance to life challenges.
I have a toolbox of various hypno-psychotherapeutic interventions, depending on individual needs, to help enable individuals to use their own inner resources and self- healing potential and to overcome barriers to increase wellbeing and happiness.

I am dedicated  to life-long learning and continuously gain new qualifications and learn new skills and techniques so as to better help my clients. I am currently studying Hypno-Psychotherapy . I undertake Continued Professional Development training to meet the requirements of various Professional bodies and have regular ongoing therapy supervision. .

Using the motivational Rickter scale process, (and I train others to use the Rickter scale) enables you to set goals and move from pre-contemplation to action stage and so fill the gap, from where you are now to where you want to be.

Consultations are available at the clinic in Carleton Rode, Norfolk and at your home or place-of-work, as well as by telephone or skype. Employer, training provider and agency visits are also available .
